Surface modelling
The cross-section, plan and 3D view functionality is currently being expanded to display field-scale non-planar surfaces. Comparison of borehole data to large-scale surfaces allows integration of data from a range of scales and resolutions and is a rapid approach to the validation of seismic or dip integrity; user-defined lines of section will display both the apparent dips of borehole data and the intersection trace with the supplied surfaces. The displays permit changes in transparency, colour and lighting angle effects. Surface modelling is currently in alpha-test and supports exports from Schlumberger's Petrel software. Alternative format support is in devleopment.
