Rationale and overview
Attitude was created from a need for an integrated borehole image data analysis package that could cope with data across multiple wells. The purpose of the software is twofold: to increase the internal efficiency and scope of Task Geoscience in its consultancy role in the oil and gas industry, and to more effectively deliver the findings of these studies to the client.
Data orientation analysis
The Attitude application is a powerful tool, allowing ready visualisation and statistical analysis of data orientation through stereonets, vector walkout plots and tadpole-type displays. The various tools allow a spectrum of analysis to be undertaken, from rapid assessment of bedding orientation to full statistical curvature analysis techniques.
Data spatial analysis
Complementing the orientation analysis tools, Attitude provides 2D and 3D views of data, an enormous boost in the visualisation of the subsurface. Plan views, cross-section views and a fully navigable 3D environment of the borehole image data are easily customisable.

Attitude Viewer
Task Geoscience employs Attitude as standard in data analysis. An optional element in Task Geoscience deliverables is the Attitude Viewer application, which places considerable analytical power and an efficient knowledge distribution tool into the hands of our clients.
