Borehole image logs are now commonplace in wireline and LWD suites. Image data has traditionally been used to define structure, identify fault and fracture distribution and orientations and to determine flow directions within depositional systems. The role of today's borehole image interpreter is increasingly to provide input parameters for static and dynamic reservoir models, for example channel and channel belt width, sinuosity and orientation estimates; fracture network statistics, fault orientations and possible seal data and stress field component alignments. Such image-derived data are key elements in building 3D models for exploration, development and production applications.

The Attitude software provides an integrated environment for the analysis, interpretation and extrapolation of image-derived surfaces, utilising orientation data, lithofacies distribution, stratigraphy, reservoir surfaces and interpreter-identified zones derived from cores, images, logs, seismic interpretation and other surface data across multiple wells.

Attitude supports dip, zonal and curve data from a variety of single well borehole image processing applications. Task Geomodelling actively supports its clients in their use of the software.
